Do you remember your favorite shows when you were a kid? Now do you remember who the actors were who starred on those shows?
Some child actors grew up to be our favorite actors — hello Neil Patrick Harris! — but some faded into obscurity or intentionally dropped out to live the simpler life.
Here’s a look at what some of our favorite teen actors back in the day are up to now:
Michael Fishman was only 7 when he started playing D.J. on “Roseanne.” By the time he finished his run, he was 16.
When the show ended, he had a few guest roles on different TV shows and then became a producer and sidekick on Roseanne’s new talk show. The show was cancelled after two years, and he took a six-year hiatus from the entertainment industry. He started working on writing his own stuff and taking acting lessons, but he’s only had a few small roles.
Jenna Von Oy
Jenna Von Oy played the BFF Six on the show “Blossom,” which starred “The Big Bang Theory”‘s Mayim Bialik.
After the show, she had some small roles in TV movies and a few shows. She got her next major role in “The Parkers,” in which she played Stevie Van Lowe for five years.
She takes the occasional guest role in a TV show, but these days, she spends most of her time creating country music.
Josh Saviano came of age right before our eyes as the best friend to Kevin Arnold on “The Wonder Years.”
After the show wrapped, Saviano went on to attend Yale — kinda like how his character, Paul, went on to Harvard after the story ended on the show. These days, Saviano works as a lawyer, far away from the lime light. However, that didn’t stop rumors from circulating that Saviano was secretly the alter ego of rocker Marilyn Manson.
Not every teen star makes it out of Hollywood with such success stories, but we’re glad that these teens used their time in the spot light so well.
